The National Disease Control Programmes (NDCPs) are key public health initiatives launched by the Government of India to prevent, control, and eliminate major communicable and non-communicable diseases.

National Vector Borne Disease Control Programme (NVBDCP)
This programme targets six vector-borne diseases: Malaria, Dengue, Chikungunya, Japanese Encephalitis, Kala-azar, and Lymphatic Filariasis.
Services under NVBDCP at CHC Padmapur:
- Free malaria testing (RDT & microscopy)
- Distribution of LLIN / mosquito nets in endemic areas
- Indoor Residual Spray (IRS) in high-risk villages

Revised National Tuberculosis Control Programme (RNTCP) / NTEP
Now known as National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), with the goal of eliminating TB by 2025.

- Free sputum microscopy & TB testing
- CBNAAT/Truenat testing (referral support)
- Free TB treatment under DOTS
- Nutritional support to TB patients under Nikshay Poshan Yojana (₹500/month)
- Active case finding & contact tracing
- Drug-resistant TB (DR-TB) referral & treatment linkage
National Leprosy Eradication Programme (NLEP)
The programme aims for “Zero Transmission, Zero Disability, Zero Discrimination” due to leprosy.

- Free diagnosis & treatment with MDT (Multi-Drug Therapy)
- Active case detection campaigns in villages
- Disability prevention & rehabilitation services
- Awareness programmes to reduce stigma

National Programme for Control of Blindness & Visual Impairment (NPCBVI)
This programme ensures universal eye health and reduction of preventable blindness.

- Free spectacles for children with refractive errors
- Referral for cataract surgery & advanced eye care
- Awareness on eye donation & preventive eye care
- Eye camps in collaboration with NGOs & district hospital
Integrated Disease Surveillance Programme (IDSP)
IDSP strengthens disease surveillance to detect and respond to outbreaks in time.

- Regular reporting of communicable diseases from sub-centres, PHCs & CHC
- Weekly IDSP reports submitted to District Surveillance Unit
- Outbreak investigation & response team
