National De-worming Day (NDD) is conducted biannually every year with the objectives to all the children aged 1-19 year and Women with reproductive age group (WRA) 20-24 year by providing age appropriate dose of Albendazole (Suspension/Tablet) at schools and Anganwadis for improved child health, nutritional status, access to education and quality life.
In the Aug-2025 round it has been decided to conduct the NDD on 12 August 2025 and MoP Up day on 19th August 2025. Under NDD, the children aged 1-19 years and women of Reproductive age 20-24 years shall be provided with Albendazole (Suspension/tablet) at respective schools (All Govt., Govt. Aided & Pvt.) and AWCs by teachers & AWWs. Children aged 1-5 years shall be provided with age appropriate Albendazole suspension and children aged 6-19 years and WRA 20-24 years shall be provided with one Albendazole tablet each. All schools (Private, Govt, Govt. Aided and Central Govt. Schools) and Anganwadi Centres will be the implementation sites of the NDD. All block/urban unit will be covered children aged 1-2 year through NDD and rest block/urban unit will cover children age 1-19 year and WRA 20-24 year under NDD.
