Introduction
Immunisation is one of the most cost-effective public health interventions to protect children and mothers from life-threatening diseases. At CHC Padmapur, routine immunisation services are provided at the health facility and through outreach sessions in all villages to ensure that every child and mother is fully immunised.
Objectives of Immunisation
- To reduce infant and child mortality from vaccine-preventable diseases
- To protect pregnant mothers and newborns against tetanus & other infections
- To achieve Universal Immunisation Coverage in the block
- To strengthen disease surveillance & outbreak prevention
Routine Immunisation (RI) Services
At CHC Padmapur, Routine Immunisation is conducted through:
- Fixed Day Services: Every Wednesday at Sub-Centres
- Special Village Health & Nutrition Day (VHND): At Anganwadi Centres in villages
